Authorities are investigating a police shooting in San Francisco 's Bayview neighborhood on Thursday.At around 3:09 p.m., officers responded to the area of Ingalls Street and Armstrong Avenue regarding a report of a person with a rifle, according to the San Francisco Police Department. When officers arrived, they located a man near Jennings Street and Donner Avenue.
Henderson did not provide details on what led the officers to open fire. She said the man was injured but not by any gunfire.Henderson said that less-lethal force was used to take the suspect into custody. He was then transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.Authorities did not specify what type of force was used on the man.No officers were injured.Henderson said a weapon was seized.
