State and federal authorities are investigating a cyber attack and data breach on the Alabama State Department of Education’s systems.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. -

ALSDE has been working with state and federal law enforcement, the Alabama Attorney General, the Alabama Office of Information Technology, and an independent contractor to determine what data, if any, was compromised. He says information such as direct deposit information is not kept at the state department and the department is working with the FBI and other experts to monitor the situation.
