An autism friendly early opening will be held at Knebworth House in Hertfordshire during the Easter holidays on Tuesday, April 2.
The early opening for families with children and adults on the autistic spectrum, with learning disabilities or sensory and communication disorders will take place on Tuesday, April 2.
On that day the Gardens, Park, Adventure Playground and Dinosaur Trail at the Hertfordshire stately home will open early at 8.30am, with the aim to give families the chance to enjoy the facilities in a quieter, more peaceful environment.This is a perfect opportunity to enjoy the 28-acres of tranquil formal gardens, the spacious deer park, the Dinosaur Trail with its 72 life-sized prehistoric creatures, the gift shop, the Adventure Playground, and relaxing in the Garden Terrace Tea Room.
To attend, simply purchase a Knebworth Gardens & Park admission ticket for Tuesday, April 2 either online at a discounted rate of £13 or full price £14 on arrival.Managing director Martha Lytton Cobbold said: “We are pleased to offer our autism friendly early opening again this year and hope that families can enjoy Knebworth Gardens & Park and all it has to offer in a calm and relaxed atmosphere during the busy Easter holidays.
Knebworth's Adventure Playground was designed with a strong consideration of inclusion for all, such as a roundabout with its own wheelchair station, a nest swing and sensory equipment, without the loud and busy crowds.
