'For a three-year-old disabled child to get out on a busy road, I could have had a call to say my child had been run over' 😡
A dad has revealed is horror and anger after going to pick up his three-year-old from nursery, only to find out he'd escaped.
Anthony told LancsLive that the school, based on Shorrock Lane, weren't able to offer an immediate explanation, leaving him worried father to come to the conclusion the school had no idea. The nursery has since confirmed it has carried out a full investigation since the incident - and assured parents it will do everything in its power to prevent something happening again in future.
The frantic dad then questioned the member of staff who told him that his son was with the headteacher, Mr Waddington - who told Anthony that "Jaxon had a little wander" and not to worry about it. It wasn't until the family returned home they received a call from the school asking them to return. Jaxon is now in the process of being assessed to be put into a specialist nursery, but until that time they can't move him.
