Axel Rudakubana will be sentenced for the murders of Bebe King, Elsie Dot Stancombe and Alice da Silva Aguiar today. The 18-year-old admitting murdering the three little girls earlier this week, on the day he was due to stand trial at Liverpool Crown Court . He had previously refused to speak during any of his prior court appearances, with High Court judge Mr Justice Goose having entered not guilty pleas on his behalf.
Ursula Doyle, deputy chief crown prosecutor for the Crown Prosecution Service Mersey-Cheshire, said on the courtroom steps following his admissions: 'This was an unspeakable attack, one which left an enduring mark on our community and the nation for its savagery and senselessness.
