Parents would like 'one of the best teachers' to stay at Fisherton Primary after South Ayrshire Council offered him a new job at a different school.

Parents at Fisherton Primary are calling on South Ayrshire Council to offer Mr MacMorland a permanent contract to teach one of the two classes at the school.

Elizabeth Gemmell is one parent who has tried to save Mr MacMorland who has taught her twins, Oliver and Olivia. “There’s no consistency. The children need routine and they need familiarity. They can’t keep chopping and changing like this. South Ayrshire Council did clarify that “between the last school session and the current school session, there have been three fixed term teachers” and not four as claimed.
