The Philippine Azkals conceded a late goal and fell to Taiwan, 2-3, in their friendly match at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila on a rainy Monday evening, June 19.

Lin Ming-Wei delivered the clincher in the 90th minute as he found the back of the net in a rebound play much to the dismay of the home crowd.Wu Yen-shu opened the scoring in the match that drew 3,578 fans, scoring in the second minute to give Taiwan the early lead.Eleven minutes later, Mike Ott converted a penalty kick to equalize the contest after he got tussled inside the box by Wang Ruei.

Patrick Reichelt then shoved the Philippines ahead, 2-1, as he scored in the 39th minute.Taiwan just wouldn't budge, though, levelling the match anew on a Yu Yao-hsing goal in the 58th minute.Empty possessions ensued for both teams until Taiwan's Lin came through with the go-ahead goal in the 90th minute, as the Azkals could not tie in the four minutes of added time.
