Joanne Sharkey is charged with the murder of the baby 26 years ago
A woman accused of the murder of a baby boy in Cheshire in 1998 is due to appear in court this morning.
The baby's remains were found in woodland close to the Gulliver's World theme park in Warrington. A dog walker discovered him, a few hours old, wrapped in a plastic bag on March 14th 1998. Ms Sharkey, of of West Derby, Liverpool, has been accused of murder and concealment of the birth of a child. She made her first court appearance at Warrington Magistrates' Court on Tuesday .
