A Scotland Yard spokesperson said: ‘Police were called to Taviton Street, WC1, to reports of a concern for welfare. ‘Officers and London Ambulance Service attended the scene. A baby was sadly found dead. ‘Enquiries continue into the circumstances.’ The Met said the alarm was raised at 3.53pm. Metro has contacted the London Ambulance Service for comment.
