Alongside this new trend, name experts say we may be seeing more of a two-letter combination at the end of children's names.
Using girl names for baby boys is set to become one of the biggest trends in 2024, according to experts at Nameberry.
Nameberry explained: "This year, boy names are undergoing a seismic shift. Parents are reclaiming primarily feminine unisex names for their sons, as Chrissy Teigen and John Legend did for their son Wren." She continued: "Parenting trends influencing baby naming trends include an emphasis on gender and racial diversity, the adultification of children's style, and a movement toward gentle parenting.
Other themes that the experts have spotted include 'gentle parenting' names like Alfie, Oona and Alba; science-related names such as Mars, Solstice and Astra; and also names ending in -ai like Masai, Kai, Adlai, Mordecai, Lorelai and Malakai.Listed below are the typically feminine names that are now being used for baby boys, as well as the feminist names being used for baby girls, and more adult names.
