Baby seal dies after horror dog attack at Scots harbour leaves it with broken jaw
A baby seal has tragically been put to sleep after suffering severe injuries during a horror dog attack in Edinburgh. A member of the public raised the alarm after spotting the youngster at Newhaven Harbour over the weekend.
Animal charity chiefs have now issued a plea for dog owners to be vigilant when walking their pets in the area or in locations where they are likely to come across baby seals. “We would like to appeal to dog owners to be vigilant when walking their dogs in the area as the harbour is a busy location where seal pups are commonly found.
