BACOLOD CITY – The city government recently released a one-time fuel subsidy of P1,000 to tricycle drivers here to enable them to cope with oil price hikes.
TRICYCLE drivers receive a one-time fuel subsidy amounting to P1,000 from the city government led by Mayor Alfredo Abelardo ‘Albee’ Benitez with Councilors Em Ang and Israel Salanga at the Bacolod City Government Center .
The subsidy was provided for under City Ordinance No. 1003 authored by Councilor Em Ang which grants fuel subsidies to all tricycle-for-hires with an existing valid franchise issued by the city government.Mayor Alfredo Abelardo “Albee” Benitez led the distribution of fuel assistance to 20 tricycle drivers at the Mayor’s Office at the Bacolod City Government Center on September 13 in the presence of Ang and Councilor Israel Salanga.
Drivers should comply with all the requirements set by the Commission on Audit to enable them to avail of assistance.
