Rochdale Road in Bacup has been closed in both directions by police. The incident was first reported at around 1pm today .
Emergency services are at the scene near to Bacup Britannia County Primary School. Witnesses report seeing an air ambulance land near the scene while police, firefighters and an ambulance are also in attendance. Traffic alert service Inrix reports the road is closed from A6066 New Line to Cobden Street and there is 'heavy traffic' in the area.
