A pie maker has relocated his business after being inundated with encouraging messages from customers asking him to continue trading following his departure from a market.
John from Bacup says despite the difficulties, the business is becoming increasingly successful and he is determined to keep serving the community. He said: “I am so grateful and humbled to have turned things around.“We have battled through and we won’t surrender and we will continue to supply. To see someone enjoy something I have cooked that gives them and their families pleasure, it’s like scoring a goal at the FA Cup Final.
“One day I would like to open my own open plan bake house/coffee bar or a restaurant. That would be the cherry on top of the cake." John began trading on Bacup Market in 2021 where he organised the Maker’s Market. He stayed at the market for 20 months but decided to move on as he felt that there was not enough footfall at the market.
