A man from Florida has been accused of possessing and distributing files of child pornography through Kik, a mobile messaging app.
The Jupiter Police Department reported that they had received a CyberTip report from the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children regarding a Kik user who had uploaded and distributed six files of child pornography through his account.
JPD obtained a warrant for Moore's Kik account, which provided the investigators with four additional explicit videos and images, and it allegedly uncovered 10 individual chats from Moore to other Kik users in which he distributed explicit images and videos. In an interview with officials, Moore explained to officers he had viewed and traded child pornography since he was in elementary school nearly 10 years ago.
Investigators added when they asked Moore if he recognized the Kik username, he stated that this was one of his main accounts. They reported that he had created it a couple of months ago and continues to reactivate and delete it when he feels guilty.
