Bad Monkey Taught Stars Charlotte Lawrence & Meredith Hagner That "Playing A Sociopath Is A Blast"
Summary Andrew Yancy was once a Miami police detective but now works as a South Florida health inspector in Bad Monkey. He is pulled back into the world of crime and mystery by a case involving a severed arm, and he believes more than meets the eye. However, after being dismissed by the police, he begins his own investigation, which leads him to a world of greed and corruption with an eclectic group of Floridians who may be at the heart of this mystery.
Screen Rant interviewed Bad Monkey stars Charlotte Lawrence and Meredith Hagner. Hagner explained what drew her to the role and how she approached Eve. Lawrence discussed her television debut and how she empathized with her character while they each shared memories of working with Deadpool & Wolverine star Rob Delaney.
This is such a gift of a character to play the sociopathic nature, letting her be a villain, all these, she's a perfect kind of satirical character within this world. So I just felt like I have to do this. How do I make this happen? Playing a sociopath is a blast. I wanted to explore the idea that sociopaths and narcissists and serial killers can be very charming. So I really tried to play against some of the writing there. So I hope it worked.
We were just talking about this the other day that I think it's a very womanly thing to be able to read someone kind of off the bat and get a kind of vibe, woman to woman of whether they're going to be kind to you or not. I feel like from the jump of us meeting, it was off and we had this just hatred for each other . It's very mutual, which makes the hatred more, like Eve hates Caitlin more than anything in the world as well. But yeah, it was so much fun to play Caitlin.
Rob Delaney "Made Me Feel Really Comfortable And Was So Lovely To Work With" You both get to work with Peter-pool himself, Rob Delaney, who is killing it as Peter in Deadpool & Wolverine. Can you share your favorite memory working with Rob? He just made me feel really comfortable and was so lovely to work with. Getting to watch a few of the episodes of the show. I'm dying laughing at so many of his scenes and things he says. Like Meredith says, he's such a genius in little ways of throwing comedy into darkness.
