Gareth Bale's deal with LAFC called 'strange' given season structure ahead of World Cup
Gareth Bale’s move to MLS side Los Angeles FC has raised a few eyebrows – including those of talkSPORT’s Scott Minto.
He’d been strongly touted for a return to Tottenham Hotspur especially, as well as the possibility of signing for his hometown club, with Bale’s agents confirming the deal is close to being finalised. “I think Gareth Bale gave up on club football a couple of years ago.” the former Chelsea player said on The Saturday Session.
“It’s been all about his country. All about getting fit for major tournaments, getting his country through to the major tournaments and playing in them for a good few years now.”
