Sea Life Loch Lomond received the recognition at the West of Scotland Thistle Awards in Glasgow last week.
A Loch Lomond visitor attraction was named Tourism and Hospitality Employer of the Year at a prestigious awards ceremony.The Scottish Thistle Awards celebrate the very best of the tourism and events industry, which is worth £11.5billion to the Scottish economy.
“This award is a testament to every single member of our team – so a big thank you to my team and a big thank you to the Scottish Thistle Awards for this recognition.” The award aims to highlight and celebrate employers who are showcasing tourism, hospitality and events as an exciting career path and inspiring the next generation.
West Dunbartonshire Council also received the Celebrating Thriving Communities Award at the event for its efforts to raise awareness and increase engagement with the Antonine Wall World Heritage Site. Roman-inspired play parks, distance stones, murals and a touring exhibition were all put in place to enhance the visitor experience, whilst contributing to placemaking for local communities living alongside the wall.
