The 68th edition of the Ballon d'Or will take place on Monday with the best in men's and women's football set to be honoured
The 2024 Ballon d'Or ceremony is scheduled for Monday, with the crème de la crème of men's and women's football gathering at Paris's Theatre du Chatelet to reflect on and celebrate the past year. As the most prestigious awards event in the sport, nine accolades will be presented to some of the finest footballers over the last 12 months.
Jude Bellingham, Rodri and Vinicius Jr are considered the three front-runners, while four Arsenal players have also been nominated. Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, William Saliba and Martin Odegaard are the Arsenal quartet on the 30-man shortlist, with Chelsea's Cole Palmer also included after an impressive breakout season.
Norway's Ada Hegerberg was the inaugural winner, followed by Megan Rapinoe, then Alexia Putellas became the first woman to win the honour consecutively. Aitana Bonmati currently holds the award.
