This year marks the 257th Balmoral Show
Everyone's favourite agricultural show is back for another year. The 157th Balmoral Show is almost upon us and will take place this year from Wednesday, May 13, to Saturday, May 16.
Vendors, farmers and eventgoers are gearing up for another big year of the Balmoral Show - the event runs for four days this year with lots to see and do for the whole family to enjoy. If you are planning on attending the Balmoral Show , we've pulled together all the essential information to ensure you make the most of your visit to 'The Show'.
The location of the show is Royal Ulster Agricultural Society, Eikon Exhibition Centre, Balmoral Park, Halftown Road, Lisburn , BT27 5RD. It's two miles from Sprucefield at Junction 7, 10 minutes from Belfast and 84 minutes from Dublin. Opening Hours: Wednesday: 9.30am – 7.00pm Thursday: 9.30am – 7.00pm Friday: 9.30am – 7.00pm Saturday: 9.30am – 6.00pm A strict no-dogs policy is in place apart from assistance dogs.
Tickets for the 2026 Balmoral Show are day specific and must be purchased online. Please make sure to select the correct day prior to purchasing. All tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable. To buy tickets, see here Tickets cost £27 per adult and £3 for children aged 5-11.
Tickets for over 65s are £22. Tickets are £20 for youths aged 12-16. Children under 5 years go free. The Balmoral showgrounds are located just outside the city of Lisburn.
The nearest train station is Lisburn Train station from which a complimentary shuttle service to the showgrounds will run. Public Transport A free shuttle bus service will operate from Lisburn Train Station to the Eikon Exhibition Centre and the estimated journey time on the days of the Show is approximately 20 - 30 minutes.
The first shuttle bus will leave Lisburn train station at 9:00am each morning with the final returning shuttle bus departing the showgrounds at Show closing time: Wednesday to Friday - 7:00pm Saturday - 6:00pm Due to anticipated congestion around the site, passengers are advised to allow 30–45 minutes transfer time when returning from the show to make onward bus or train connections. This is particularly important when travelling on Enterprise services or North West services.
From Wednesday 13th to Saturday 16th May, selected Enterprise services to and from Dublin Connolly will stop at Lisburn Railway Station, allowing passengers to easily access the free shuttle bus service. Wednesday 13 th – Friday 15 th May Services from Dublin Connolly to Belfast Grand Central Station will stop at Lisburn at 10:50, 11:50, 12:50. Services from Belfast Grand Central Station to Dublin Connolly will stop at Lisburn at 15:12.
Saturday 16 th May Services from Dublin Connolly to Belfast Grand Central Station will stop at Lisburn at 08:50, 09:50, 10:50, 11:50, 12:50 Services from Belfast Grand Central Station to Dublin Connolly will stop at Lisburn at 15:12, 17:12, 18:12 How to get to the show by car From West - Take the M1 to junction 8 and follow the directional signage. From North West - Take the M1 to junction 8 and follow the directional signage.
From Lisburn - Take the Moira Road out of Lisburn and follow directional signage. From Belfast - Travel South on the M1, coming off at Sprucefield and follow directional signage to Balmoral Park. From North East - Travel South on the M1, coming off at Sprucefield and follow directional signage to Balmoral Park. From South - Travel up the A1 dual carriageway and follow directional signage.
The Balmoral Show is once again back for four days jam-packed with events for all the family to enjoy. Car parking is available on the showgrounds at a daily rate of £10 per car.
Please note, car parking can be paid by cash only on the day of your visit. As with any large scale events, there will be queues arriving and leaving the showgrounds at peak times. Please make sure to make provisions for any delays. During Show days, show-goers are encouraged to make use of public transport and the free shuttle bus service.
Chief Superintendent Kelly Moore said: “The Balmoral Show is a key date in the calendar for many in our rural and agricultural communities and making sure it is a safe and enjoyable experience for all is a priority for us in the Police Service of Northern Ireland. We will be assisting with traffic flow to and from the Eikon to ensure it is as hassle-free as possible, however with very large numbers expected over all four days, those travelling should anticipate that their journey may take longer than usual and leave some extra time to allow for likely delays.
We’d ask that you help us by being patient, and by driving and parking responsibly. Give due consideration to other road users and pedestrians, and follow the guidance of our officers and parking marshals on the ground, and only park in the designated parking areas. Patrons and vendors should also be aware that the use of drones on site is strictly prohibited by the organisers. We want everyone attending this year’s show to enjoy a safe and memorable experience.
