bridge has collapsed after a cargo ship collided into the structure, causing cars to fly into Baltimore’s Patapsco River with at least seven people expected to be in the water.
A large area of the 1.6-mile-long Francis Scott Key Bridge crumbled at around 1.30 am local time after the ship struck its foundations. Johnny Olszewski, Baltimore County executive said he remains in contact with the fire department adding “Please pray for those impacted.”
