Governor Wes Moore released a statement on the collapse, declaring a State of Emergency in Maryland.
The Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore has collapsed into the Patapsco River after a cargo ship collided with it, sending several vehicles into the water.
Moore said that as many as 20 people and several vehicles had fallen into the river, and a tractor-trailer was on the bridge when the cargo vessel hit the support pillar. Baltimore police said that workers are possibly in the water.
