Gedling Borough Council has said that if your bins are usually collected on a Monday the next collection will be on Saturday, May 27, due to the bank holiday next week. The council asked residents to leave bins out from 6am. Similarly, Ashfield District Council said residents' bins that are usually collected on Monday, May 29 will now be collected on Saturday, May 27. The council said this is the only change to scheduled bin collections.Rushcliffe Borough Council will also be moving Monday's collections to Saturday. The council said this has been detailed on the Bin Calendar that has been put on to all bins.
Broxtowe Borough Council has explained all bin collections from Monday, May 29 to Friday, June 2 will be moved back a day because of the bank holiday. In contrast, Bassetlaw District Council has said bin collections are not affected over the bank holiday and will take place as normal for residents on Monday, May 29.
