Those jetting off on a break away during the bank holiday could face disruption this weekend after British Airways cancelled a number of flights following a 'technical issue'.
The airline reportedly cancelled over 60 flights from London's Heathrow airport on Thursday, May 25, after a glitch in the system with other flights delayed. At least two flights to Glasgow were cancelled yesterday afternoon while other journeys to the city faced delays of up to two and a half hours.British Airways has cancelled some short-haul flights today as holidaymakers prepare to get away for the bank holiday weekend.
Apologising to customers affected by the cancellations, a spokesperson said: "While the vast majority of our flights continue to operate today, we have cancelled some of our short-haul flights from Heathrow due to the knock-on effect of a technical issue that we experienced yesterday.
