Burnley's self-made billionaire has shared how his community bank helped to give years' worth of food supplies to local starving kids.
Appearing on Channel 5 News, Dave offered a bemused reaction to hosts Claudia-Liza Vanderpuije and Dan Walker as he recalled the moment he "got a call off Hollywood". The billionaire revealed his excitement when he was told Netflix would be getting involved in the making of his biopic, but insisted he's staying true to his roots.
He said: "What I'd love the viewers to do at home is, whatever they're going to do, if they borrow money, what you need to know is the APR isn't super important but it's important - Annual Percentage Rate. What you want to do is look at what your payments are going to be. Dave then went on to discuss the personal approach he and his bank take to help people. He revealed the bank has helped "thousands" but highlighted a recent case study where more than money was required from him.
