Un nuevo mural de Banksy atrajo a multitudes a una calle de Londres el lunes, incluso antes de que el escurridizo grafitero confirmara que la obra era suya.
La obra de arte en el vecindario de Finsbury Park cubre la pared de un edificio de cuatro pisos y muestra a una figura humana sosteniendo una manguera de presión, similar a las usadas para rociar insecticidas, junto al gran árbol. El árbol ha sido severamente podado y chorros de pintura verde rociados sobre la pared del edificio replican su follaje ausente.
Banksy, que nunca ha confirmado su identidad completa, comenzó su carrera pintando edificios con aerosol en Bristol, Inglaterra, y se ha convertido en uno de los artistas más famosos del mundo. Sus imágenes traviesas y a menudo satíricas incluyen a dos policías besándose, policías antidisturbios armados con caras sonrientes amarillas y un chimpancé con un cartel con las palabras: “Ríete ahora, pero algún día estaré a cargo”.
