A storm of outrage about the Paris Olympics’ opening ceremony took a legal turn Tuesday.
Barbara Butch , one of the performers who apparently participated in a mockery of "The Last Supper " during the opening ceremony at the Paris Olympics , is taking legal action amid what she described as "am extremely violent campaign of cyber-harassment and defamation."
"Barbara Butch condemns this vile hatred directed at her, what she represents, and what she stands for,"Msellati said the complaint doesn’t name any specific perpetrator or perpetrators of the alleged crimes. In her post, Butch said she was "extremely honored" to take part in the event and to share "my vision." She added that she has always "promoted love and inclusivity" and is proud of who she is as a person.
"Why mock someone’s faith ? So much talk about inclusion but openly mock a billion peoples faith. So many things wrong with your approach to real life. Get help, repent and apologise to those you have offended," one person wrote on Butch's Instagram post.
