Hundreds of Barclays customers are facing issues accessing their accounts and using online and mobile banking services just in time for payday. The problems started around 10am and affect around 755 customers as of 12.15pm, according to Downdetector. Barclays acknowledges the issues and apologizes for the inconvenience, stating that they are working to resolve the problems.

Some users say they are going to ‘leave for good’ over the technical issue Hundreds of people have been left unable to access their Barclays account – just in time for payday. Customers began reporting issues using the mobile banking app and making and receiving payments since 10am. By 12.15pm, 1,270 customers said they had encountered issues with Barclays ’ online services, according to Downdetector, a website that tracks internet outages. The number has since lowered to 755.

I’ve been with you for about 20 years and seriously thinking of switching banks! Can’t even get onto the status checker!’ Another added: ‘An absolute joke on payday, people have wages to access and bills to pay, get it sorted, before 3pm!’ In response, Barclays said on X: ‘We’re sorry if you’re having issues with some of our services at the moment.
