BBC Bargain Hunt viewers expressed disappointment and disbelief when the Blue Team spent excessively on a bangle, resulting in a minimal profit at auction. Despite expert Catherine Southon's advice to limit the purchase to £120, the team paid £175 for the bracelet. The auctioneer eventually sold it for £170, leading to a small loss of £5 for the team.
BBC Bargain Hunt enthusiasts were left feeling rather disgruntled when the Blue Team overspent on a bangle, resulting in a disappointing profit at auction. The team forked out a significant amount for a blue bracelet, which was the final piece they needed to complete their trio of items, during an episode aired in March 2024.
Despite acknowledging its "gorgeous" appearance and "trendy" vibe, she was shocked by the overpayment. "It's beautiful, but I would only pay about 80 to 120 pounds for it," she said, according to Coventry Live. Caroline, the auctioneer, struggled to surpass £160, but with some perseverance, she clinched a sale at £170. Luckily, the team's loss was minimal at just £5, and another item they picked up netted them a tidy £26 profit.
