Blackpool jewellers Leonard Dews sees bargain hunters 'queue round the block' for diamonds reduced by up to £22k
Savvy shoppers were seen queuing round the block in a bid to bag a bargain at a historic jewellery shop in Blackpool.
The store's closing down sale started on Saturday with shoppers queuing "round the block". LancsLive visited the store to see some of the bargains on offer with jewellery and watches being sold at up to 50 per cent the normal retail price.With diamond earrings at half price, some reduced to £2,200 from £4,400, bargain-hunters admired the glittering jewels on offer. Watches including Tag Heuer were also massively reduced with one 2.
Attila Sereny, manager at the Church Street store, said it had been "consistently busy" since the sale started on Saturday. "On the first day of the sale there was a long queue outside and it's been busy every since," he told LancsLive. "It's going really well so far and it's been really busy." "We have shared our dedication and passion with our customers, who have supported us over many years. And now I have made the emotional decision to hang up my loupe and call time on this much-loved business. My first concern was for my staff and I have been supporting them as much as possible to find new positions.
