Leeds United are said to be among a number of clubs keen on signing young Barnsley star Fabio Jalo. TeamTalk claims the Whites - along with Brighton, Everton, Fulham and Sunderland are tracking the 17-year-old Portuguese forward.
Jalo made his senior debut against Middlesbrough in the Carabao Cup last season, becoming the sixth youngest player in the club's history.A Portuguese youth international, Jalo has made three senior appearances this season, with his most recent third-tier outing coming in the 2-2 draw with Fleetwood in League One. He came off the bench for the final eight minutes of that clash, with several clubs beginning to take note.
Portuguese club Sporting are also said to be keeping an eye on the youngster, with a move back to his native country a possibility.
