According to Rubens Barrichello , his Formula 1 career was ended when he was at the peak of his powers.
2012 saw Williams switch from Cosworth to Renault power with a far more competitive season following – which Barrichello knew would happen – the team scoring 76 points compared to five in 2011.“Unfortunately, Williams at that time, they didn’t have someone who would stand up and say, ‘We should do this, come down here’. There was too many people owning the team and they need money.
And Barrichello quipped that he is still F1-ready if Aston Martin decided they wanted a new team-mate for Alonso, the most experienced F1 driver of all-time.
