"I'll be honest, deep down I thought there was absolutely no chance, certainly after that Aberdeen game," Ferguson told Go Radio.
"To be fair, the new manager has worked wonders. They're in a position now - don't throw it away. They've worked so hard to get here - yes Celtic have slipped up and there have been a few surprise results - but you've got win your games.
