Barry Keoghan has joined the cast of the upcoming Peaky Blinders film, joining his fellow Irish actor Cillian Murphy, who is returning as gangster Tommy Shelby
Irish star Barry Keoghan is set to join forces with Cillian Murphy in the hotly-anticipated Netflix Peaky Blinders film. It has already been confirmed that Cillian is set to reprise his iconic role as gangster Tommy Shelby in the film, with show creator Steven Knight also back.
The original hit series, which ran for six series from 2013 to 2022 on the BBC, follows the rise of the Shelby family from after the First World War onwards. Co-producer and leading man Cillian said the film is "one for the fans", following a triumphant awards season sparked by his portrayal of J Robert Oppenheimer in Christopher Nolan's epic biopic. The role earned him an armful of accolades including an Oscar, Golden Globe, Bafta, and Screen Actors Guild award.
However, they were reported to have split, but Barry's comment on the pop star's recent Instagram post appears to hint that their relationship is still on.
