Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler says he and lead singer Ozzy Osbourne, who he has been in touch with regularly after a period of miscommunication, are both interested in playing one final concert with the band’s original lineup, including drummer Bill Ward.
As far as playing a final show in the band’s hometown of Birmingham, he said, “I’m definitely up for it, to finish the whole thing off.”“That’d be a nice thing to actually do, but whether it happens will be another thing,” Iommi said. “But we’ll see. I mean, who knows?” Butler also said that he had been in regular communication with Osbourne “every day practically” after the singer said during an interview that he hadn’t been in touch with Butler in a long time.
“There was a lot of miscommunication . He didn’t think I was asking about his health ‘cause I know he’s been going through a lot of health problems, and I was sending all these messages to him and they weren’t being passed on to him,” Butler said. “So he thought I was just ignoring him. And then the weird way I had to go through Sabbath’s accountant to tell Ozzy I’d sent him all these things. ...
