Despite a heavy defeat vs Barcelona, Bayern Munich's chief Max Eberl has reaffirmed the club's faith in manager, Manchester City hero Vincent Kompany .
This marked Kompany's second defeat, in three European games as manager, putting Bayern under pressure in the competition. The Belgian's appointment was met with mixed reactions from the club's supporters, who were upset over now-England manager Thomas Tuchel's departure in the first place.
The club's director of sport, Eberl, stated: "We believe in what we're doing and we will continue to defend what we're doing." Kompany highlighted that his team had been commended for their defensive solidity, which fell apart in Spain. He remarked: "I think both teams did that today. If we look back to the press conference yesterday, the talk was about the fact we're the team that conceded the fewest chances in Europe.
