Viewers picked up on the slip up
There was an awkward apology and confusion on BBC's The One Show on Monday, March 6. As early evening television viewers sat down to watch the chat show, it wasn't long before a swearword slipped out and host Roman Kemp was forced to apologise to viewers.
The actor said "p****d off" when describing his character Shazam. He then turned to Dame Helen as he described her character Hespera the daughter of Atlas. "And then you add to the mix these three incredible, powerful, beautiful, talented women Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu and Rachel Zegler," he continued. "They are the daughters of Atlas and they are p****d off.
Roman and co-host Alex Jones reassured the guests: "It doesn't matter." But Dame Helen pressed: "Was it me or him?" "Don't worry" said Roman as he joked that it was Alex.
