BBC Breakfast presenter Charlie Stayt has been slammed by fans after he made a 'disgraceful' comment to co-star Carol Kirkwood on Thursday's show
BBC Breakfast's Charlie Stayt seemed to have caused a stir with viewers during Thursday's programme. In the episode, Charlie and his co-host Naga Munchetty discussed the day's weather forecast with meteorologist Carol Kirkwood.
"Our technicians are working on it as fast as they can to sort it. But what you're looking at there, hurricane force winds are not happening, I stress that." He questioned: "Are you going to fix this Carol? This has been going on for many hours now. Is anything actually happening? Are you going to fix it? " Carol responded confidently: "Of course Charlie! Of course, we are. It is a big problem, it's not just one that can be sorted like that .", reports the Mirror.
Many took to Twitter to express their disapproval, with one user stating: "Was there really a need for Charlie Stayt to speak to Carol Kirkwood the way he did about the weather app glitch on the last weather bulletin? I thought he was mucking about at first. Going all Paxman on a work colleague seemed a bit much."
