BBC Breakfast presenter Sally Nugent jumped to the defence of her co-star Carol Kirkwood after a lighthearted jab from fellow host Ben Thompson during a live broadcast.
Carol cautioned viewers about impending heavy rain and strong winds, specifically warning of severe gales in the Northwest that could impact travel and outdoor activities. Carol replied that the forecast would become clearer within a day or two, stating: "Just a day or two, Sal. With each passing day it becomes firmer. So it really is one we're watching so tomorrow we're hoping to have a better idea on where it is going to go."
The studio erupted in laughter while Sally jumped to her rescue, commenting: "I'll be having words with him.", reports the Express. To which Ben quipped: "I'm in trouble."
