Louise Slater's son Keaton was tragically killed in a hit and run and BBC Breakfast host Nina Warhurst was there to support Louise and Clint as they opened up about their loss

The mother of Keaton Slater was visibly emotional as she discussed her son's tragic death on BBC Breakfast today.

Police identified the suspect as Dolars Aleksanders shortly after the incident, and the 21-year-old is now wanted on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. However, it is believed that Dolars is currently in Latvia. She said: "Every time we grieve, we get angry because it's only round the corner from us as well. We go down there to just have that reflection time just to try and say to him that we're gonna get justice for him. It's going to happen to other families and they have to go through this nightmare."Nina could be heard comforting Louise: "You're doing great," as she went on to describe how her children were coping.

Speaking to ITV News, she said: "When it first happened the police told us they'd informed all the airports so he couldn't leave the country but then we found out he was abroad and felt defeated.
