He posted an update from his hospital bed
A BBC Breakfast presenter has recieved messages of support from fans after sharing he had suffered a knee injury. Sports journalist John Watson shared on his Instagram that he had been hospitalised after the incident alongside an image of himself in a hospital bed.
It has been reported by The Daily Mirror that this sort of injury usually occurs when the knee twists whilst a person is playing sport and can result in swelling, stiffness and pain. John captioned the snap: "Less of a dash more of a hop to the studio come Monday."Shortly after John was flooded with messages of support, including a funny message from John Kay. He wrote: "Take care, John. I’ve got a glittery sock for the other foot if you need it.
Another commented: "What you have done mate? I was in yesterday having my meniscus tear operated on. Bandaged up the same as you. Get well soon." Whilst a fourth added: "Really reluctant to 'like' this as it implies I am pleased to see you in such a state! Get better soon @johnwatsonsport."
