Nearly 40 years on since the iconic BBC Broom Cupboard era, here's a look back at the presenters who shaped our childhoods and the careers they have gone on to have
Television's brightest stars may now bask in the glow of fame and fortune, but their journey to success was anything but glamorous.
Alongside puppets including Edd the Duck and Gordon the Gopher, these presenters became household names, etching their place in British television history. Here’s where they are now... Since 2002, he has been a familiar face on ITV's This Morning, before stepping down last year, while also showcasing his hosting prowess on Dancing On Ice, All Star Mr & Mrs, and the game show The Cube.
Beyond children's programming, Andi has made appearances on various television shows, ranging from Celebrity MasterChef to Dancing On Ice. He also hosts his own show on Smooth Radio. Simon Parkin Simon Parkin's broadcasting career started in Manchester, where he worked on hospital radio before landing a gig at Radio Tees. Joining Children's BBC in 1987, he introduced various segments, including afternoon sessions in the Broom Cupboard and morning birthday features.
Zoe succeeded Chris Evans as the host of The Radio 2 Breakfast Show in 2019, and more recently, she joined The One Show.
