Nitro will be cheering on from the side lines this season

A Gladiators fan favourite has revealed he's going to be out of action for the whole of season two. Nitro, whose real name is Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, has shared that he has been forced to pull out of the BBC game show after sustaining an injury while training.

There are two new Gladiators for season two, reports the Wales Online. While Cyclone and Hammer didn't appear in episode one, hosts Barney and Bradley Walsh confirmed their arrival to Gladiators. Aikines-Aryeetey has a myostatin deficiency, which is a genetic condition that causes increased muscle mass and reduced body fat. It occurs in both humans and animals.
