The former DUP MLA made a number of claims which were said to be factually inaccurate

The BBC have said they are "happy to reflect" on claims regarding the redevelopment of Casement Park which went unchallenged on the Nolan Show on BBC Radio Ulster .

During the debate, Mr Wells claimed that the GAA had given one million pounds to each county in Ireland following the rugby internationals and that the stadium was only 60 per cent full when Northern Ireland beat Ukraine at the Euros in France back in 2016 and he suggested that Casement Park may not sell out for the Euros.

In a statement issued to the Irish News, the broadcaster said: "We have discussed the development of Casement Park across the BBC, hearing from people with different views, insights and areas of expertise. “If there are errors of fact in what people may have said, that’s something we’ll be happy to reflect and in the usual way.”
