A champion Highland dancer turned presenter and pals with the stars - Phil MacHugh returns to BBC screens with Martin Compston for their Norwegian Fling.
Scots actor Martin Compston and his TV pal Phil MacHugh are back on our screens with their new BBC travel series Norwegian Fling.
He began presenting Gaelic TV programmes for the BBC and STV aged 15. He went on to appear in their flagship children's shows and later moved on to Smash Hits TV. The star appeared on Channel 5, BBC's Landward, E4 Edinburgh Fringe Festival and provided daily live coverage of Tartan Week in New York for TV station NBC.In 2022 Phil returned to TV alongside Line of Duty actor Martin Compston on their BBC show Scottish Fling and had a second season - Norwegian Fling picked up in 2024.
Phil became pals with then up and coming actor Martin Compston while the pair were teenagers working the media circuit. Swanky PR firm Off camera Phil started up his own PR agency representing luxury brands and working with showbiz pals and influencers.
