A BBC presenter and journalist is among those to be honoured during the University of Central Lancashire’s graduation ceremonies next week. Running for five days on campus the broadcaster Victoria Derbyshire will receive an honorary fellowship., receives her award for a significant contribution to journalism and broadcasting.University of Central Lancashire in top 20 per cent globally for society and environment rankingsEG Group co-founder Zuber Issa CBE receives an honorary fellowship for his significant contribution to business and charity, particularly in Lancashire and the North West.
Also being honoured are outgoing Burnley Council chief executive Mick Cartledge and Amanda Elwen who has led and developed domestic abuse services across Lancashire.More than 4,000 students are expected to don their caps and gowns across 14 graduation ceremonies within the Sir Tom Finney Sports Centre on the Preston campus.
After taking to the stage, graduates and their guests will enjoy their post-event celebrations on University Square, in the heart of the Preston Campus.
