Many viewers were surprised by Dean McCullough's decision to ditch his BBC Radio 1 colleague Melvin Odoom in favour of teaming up with Coleen Rooney on I'm A Celebrity
BBC Radio 1 DJ Dean McCullough, who previously opened up about dark times in his past, was already causing a stir on the opening night of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! when he chose to team up with Coleen Rooney , leaving his co-worker Melvin Odoom in the lurch. The move left viewers, including fellow BBC Radio 1 DJ Greg James, shocked. James took to social media to jokingly call McCullough "a snake" for his decision.
Taking to his Instagram Stories on Sunday night, Greg shared a snap of himself looking puzzled and told his followers: "Urrrm Dean didn't pick Melvin? ! " The cheeky presenter then posted a picture of Barry getting friendly with a snake, captioning it: "They should send Dean in as one of the snakes after that behaviour. "
