BBC releases highest paid list with Gary Lineker on top as famous Scouser features

The BBC has released the list of on-air salaries of its highest paid stars

. The list was issued as the corporation unveiled its annual report today. Gary Lineker topped the list for the seventh year in a row with the Match of the Day presenter taking home £1.35m. The former Everton FC striker is the only star to earn over £1m as Zoe Ball is in second place with £950,000. The salaries cover the financial year from April 2023 to April 2024 so this means legendary DJ Steve Wright, who died in February, is included.
