The BBC have revealed the pay packets of the top stars of the broadcasting house for the last year with Gary Lineker, Zoe Ball and Vernon Kay earning the highest salaries
The BBC has unveiled the pay packets of its top stars for the last financial year, with Gary Lineker holding onto the top spot for the seventh consecutive year.
The list also includes famous faces no longer at the BBC, as it covers the financial year from April 2023 until April 2024. This means Steve Wright, who passed away in February, is included, as is Huw Edwards, who left the BBC in April after being off air since July last year. BBC Breakfast hosts earn varying salaries, with Naga Munchetty topping the list at £345,000, which includes her Radio 5 gig. Sally Nugent and Charlie Stayt are on a similar pay scale, earning between £190,000-200,000, while Jon Kay earns £225,000, thanks to his additional work on Radio 4 and a successful BBC podcast.
