Sherwood will be back on screens this month and will see two new characters enter the fold - Ryan and Stephie Bottomley
The BBC 's hit drama Sherwood is set to return for a second series this August, with some fresh faces joining the cast.
Sharlene said: "It was really interesting because I'm from the Television Workshop alumni. So, when you work with someone like Oliver, you sort of expect a certain level, you take for granted that they're going to be good." Ryan, portrayed by Oliver, is the adopted son of Pam Bottomley, a character played by Sharlene Whyte.The new actor has hinted that viewers will be introduced to Ryan during a dark and serious period in his life, as he commits a grave crime.
"His sister is the main driver that keeps him going because at the end of the day they're all each other have."
